Yoga Competition – Every Saturday for the past couple of years, students of GHPS are being Yoga as part of their co-curricular activity. A professional Yoga Teacher funded by TCF has been training the students on various Asanas’. This year for the first time, students from GHPS enrolled themselves into a Yoga competition conducted at a nearby Yoga school. Several awards were worn by the students. In the Senior category students won First & Second place and in the Junior’s category student won Second place.

Vision/Dental Camp – Rotary Bangalore Junction organized a vision and dental camp at GHPS campus. It was conducted seamlessly, thanks to the collective efforts of everyone involved. What made it even more heartening was watching our newly elected Council of Ministers manage the entire event with confidence and maturity, without anyone having to constantly oversee them. All in all, it was another reminder that when every individual contributes with commitment and purpose, extraordinary things happen. Proud of our students, grateful to our teachers and staff, and thankful to everyone who made this camp such a smooth and successful day.

Educational Visit – About 100 students from class 4-7 participated in a educational visit to watch the film ‘NOCTURNES’ screened at a local theater nearby. Nocturnes is a tribute to the natural beauty of our country and the rigor of scientific fieldwork. The film follows the work of a female Indian scientist, Mansi and her associate from the indigenous Bugun community, Bicki as they study moths in the rich, dense forests of Arunachal Pradesh and try to predict the future of these nocturnal creatures in the face of rising temperatures. One of the main aim in making this film was to inspire children to engage with the natural world with love, care and curiosity, and to create an enthusiasm for science in young people. The film also connects very well with the Biology, EVS, and mental health (Happiness/Mental health) curricula. TCF was happy to coordinate and arrange transport to/fro transport for the students to watch this film.

School Council Elections – Continuing the tradition from prior couple of years, student elections were conducted to elect ‘Ministers’ of various portfolio’s as well as a ‘Chief Minister’. This exercise gives the students a first hand experience of how elections are conducted and how democracy works. An investiture (swearing-in) ceremony was also conducted in the presence of a TCF patron to pin portfolio badges and caps on each of the elected students. The elected student Ministers take care of various portfolios’ assigned, ensuring sense of accountability and self induced discipline among all students.

School bag and Uniform Distribution – Through the support of a corporate and TCF patron, a school bag/water bottle and uniform (T-shirt) was distributed to all students of GHPS. Representatives from the corporate and TCF patron handed over the materials. TCF Thanks both the Patron’s for their continued support for the students of GHPS.

School Re-Opening – All schools re-opened for the new academic year AY 26-27 on 30th May’26. The first 15 days of the academic year will be spent as Bridge learning via activities (no text book teaching).
Students went on a parade in the neighborhood around the school to create awareness of Govt School nearby. Teachers were present to welcome the students returning back to school. Thorough cleaning of school was completed in preparation of the new academic year start. A PTM was also conducted soon after re-opening to set the expectation with parents regarding school attendance and discipline. It is expected that the enrollment this academic year will see another uptick given the positive learning and all round environment being made available to students of GHPS.
