Student Achievements

TCF has a vision to encourage and support all round development of students of GHPS. Current and Alumni students are encouraged to participate in various competitions and sports activities, apart from an emphasis on academics. TCF leaves no stone unturned in ensuring that students stay in school/college and pursue their educational aspirations. Various awards are given away to deserving students to further boost their confidence and aim for higher laurels.

Below mentioned are some of the milestone academic and non-academic achievements of both GHPS as well as higher class (Alumni of GHPS) students. We do hope that through the support of our well wishers we would be able to guide and change the lives of these needy children at GHPS, for a brighter future.

Students are enrolled in institutions such as YAS High school, Siddaganga High school, JSS college, NMKRV college, National college, Surana collage, Dayanand Sagar Engg college, PES Univ etc.. TCF’s Alumni Director closely monitors the performance of these students in the various institutions. TCF has also instituted private coaching classes since Oct’21, to ensure students get the educational support where required and to provide extra academic assistance beyond school as a parallel stream.

GHPS – In the current academic year (AY 2023-24), official enrollment at school is around 250 students in various classes from 1st to 7th. Class 1 to 3 alone account for about 100 students. Alongside government teaching staff, TCF provides additional teacher aides personnel to ensure that students get the requisite academic attention.  This academic TCF also initiated special private coaching classes on Saturday for students of Class 6. The additional coaching classes for students of class 7 also continued. TCF encourages students of GHPS to participate in inter-school art/cultural and Taramandala Science quiz competition. Every year, students of GHPS secure excellence awards in each of these extra-curricular competitions.

Pratibha Karanji: The students showcased their talents in a variety of dimensions as they participated enthusiastically in all categories of the inter-school competition. Their confidence was demonstrated by the multiple prizes they won as a result of their hard work and performance. Two students Kailash of class 4 and Neha Kumari of class 7 won the first place and were selected for block  level competition. Please click here to see the prizes won by GHPS students.

RV Girls school: Meenakshi, Lavanaya, Varsha, and Bhagavathi – four determined girl students of Class 7, diligently prepared for their entrance exam to secure admission to RV Girls School for studying in English medium from Class 8. Their dedication and  effort paid off, granting them the invaluable opportunity to study in a prestigious institution renowned for its quality education. This sets a strong foundation for their future academic pursuits.

Navodaya: Three Class V students – Chetan, Reetu Singh, and Vindhya appeared for Navodaya school entrance exam. This preparatory journey helped these students in many ways. They eagerly attended the special classes. They grew into a close-knit community that carefully mentored and assisted one another. They adopted discipline in their approach to learning through this group effort.  Their interest in learning outside their text book was visible on many occasions.

Kannada classes: Consistent dedication to enhance Kannada learning among migrating students has resulted in increased interest and attendance in school in general. Various interactions and integration into their day to day learning has empowered students like Parvathi of class three and  Rajendra of class 7 .

Rangappa, a class 4 student, initially struggled with attending school and engaging with his classmates. However, he found solace in interacting with teachers when in smaller groups. Through consistent follow-up and support, he gradually opened up  and this helps him to attend the school regularly and participate in learning.
